Trying to file artists under labels, may it be by genres or activities is a very understandable shortcut. It’s easier that way and you’re sure to make yourself understood. But with Berlinbased Leonard de Leonard you might find yourself in a slump.

For over a decade now he’s been a producer, a sound designer, a remixer, an international DJ and on top of it all, found time to launch his own record label ‘Leonizer Records’ On top of his solo career, he has been working with a wide array of accomplished musicians such as Funkstörung’s Chris De Luca, Delect and Philly rapper Maxx Stoyanoff Williams from the legendary RuffHouse Records hip hop band The Goats. He has also collaborated with acclaimed photographer and graphic designer ‘elroy’ with whom he started ‘The Escapists’ project with creating a turn-of-the-century aesthetic and cinematographic atmospheres, both on visual and musical level. Throughout his career he ran the gauntlet from house to electro bangers, hip hop to techno.

His latest collaborations have included an EP with with larger than life Italian disco duo Hard Ton. Three releases with French techno producer Humantronic. Plus a mighty new release on Night Noise with Andrew Claristidge, half of acclaimed French duo Acid Washed.
With all of them he’s been using his signature sound originated from his unconditional geek love for the countless analog gear and modular synths his studio is filled with. A do-it-all old timer, that’s who you’re dealing with and he’s not near ready to stop.
